Section 45-25-91 DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. (a) There is created the DeKalb
County Economic Development Authority. The authority is created for the purpose and has the
responsibility of aiding and assisting current industries and coordinating efforts of all
municipal and county agencies of DeKalb County, Alabama, as well as aiding organizations in
the development of new industries which will provide job opportunities for the citizens of
DeKalb County. (b)(l) The authority shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of
seven members. Two of the seven members shall be appointed by the DeKalb County Commission.
Three members shall be appointed by a majority vote of the legislators representing DeKalb
County. One member shall be appointed by the mayor and council of the municipality that is

Section 45-39-230.02 Creation; composition; compensation. (a) There shall be created a civil
service board of appeals for the purpose of regulating the tenure of employment of certain
deputies in the office of the sheriff. The Lauderdale County Commission shall appoint a civil
service board of appeals as it relates to the Sheriff of Lauderdale County, Alabama, and the

Section 11-90-2 Library boards - Composition; appointment and terms of members; vacancies in
office. The government and supervision of such libraries shall be vested in a library board
consisting of five members who shall be appointed by the county commission or the governing
body of the municipality. The terms of membership on the library board, as first appointed,
for one member shall be for one year, for the second member shall be for two years, for the
third member shall be for three years, and for the remaining two members the terms shall be
