Section 11-51-90.2 Purchase of business license; classification of taxpayers; vehicle decals; determination of gross receipts; construction with other provisions. (a) Every taxpayer required to purchase a business license under this chapter shall: (1) Purchase a business license for each location at which it does business in the municipality, except as otherwise provided by the municipality. Section 40-3-2 Selection of members; terms of office. (a) This subsection shall apply to every county in the state except a county subject to the provisions of subsection (b) of this section. Whenever it is necessary because of lack of work, lack of funds, or whenever it is advisable in the interest of economy to reduce the staff of any department or agency of the counties, or any municipality affected by this part, the appointing authorities shall lay off employees according to the procedure set forth in this part and the rules and regulations prescribed thereunder.
