Section 22-55-1 Enactment of compact; terms. The Interstate Compact on Mental Health is hereby enacted into law and entered into by this state with all other states legally joining therein in the form substantially as follows: INTERSTATE COMPACT ON MENTAL HEALTH The contracting states solemnly agree that: Article I The party states find that the proper and expeditious treatment of the mentally ill and mentally deficient can be facilitated by cooperative action to the benefit of the patients, their families and society as a whole. Further, the party states find the necessity of and desirability for furnishing such care and treatment bear no primary relation to the residence or citizenship of the patient but that, on the contrary, the controlling factors of community safety and humanitarianism require that facilities and services be made available for all who are in need of them. Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes. Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except as hereinafter provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer shall pay contributions, or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of wages payable or paid as hereinafter set out, with respect to employment by him. Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability, the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68, but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average weekly earnings per week. This compensation shall be paid during the time of the disability, but at the time as a temporary total disability shall become permanent, compensation for the continued total disability shall be governed by (a)(4) of this section with respect to permanent total disability. Section 40-18-375 Jobs credit against utility taxes; realization of benefits; regulations. (a) If provided for in the project agreement and in accordance with the terms therein, the incentivized company is allowed a jobs credit against utility taxes, in an annual amount equal to 3 percent of the wages paid to eligible employees during the prior year. The incentive period shall be 10 years. (b) The project agreement shall provide that one of the following methods shall be used to realize the benefits of the jobs credit: (1)a.
