Section 2-5A-30 Definitions. Whenever used in this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) BONDS. Those bonds, including the refunding bonds, issued under and pursuant to the provisions of this article. (2) GOVERNMENT SECURITIES. Any bonds or other obligations which as to principal and interest constitute direct obligations of, or are unconditionally guaranteed by, the United States of America, including obligations of any federal agency to the extent such obligations are unconditionally guaranteed by the United States of America and any certificates or any other evidences of an ownership interest in such obligations of, or unconditionally guaranteed by, the United States of America or in specified portions thereof, which may consist of the principal thereof or the interest thereon. Section 27-17A-47 Establishment and management of endowment care fund. (a) Every cemetery authority operating an endowment care cemetery shall establish an endowment care fund which shall be placed with and held by a bank, trust company, savings and loan association, or other financial institution authorized to provide trust services under Title 5, as amended, or under the applicable laws of the United States or any other state, or a board of trustees, consisting of at least three members, who shall reside in the State of Alabama, one of whom is engaged in outside cemetery management, and each of whom shall be bonded to honestly perform the duties of trustee under a formal trust agreement. Section 27-6-15 Release of deposit - Generally. (a) All deposits in this state made under this title shall be held on deposit as long as there is outstanding any liability of the insurer with respect to which the deposit was made. Section 4-3-54 Bonds - Security for payment of principal and interest. In the discretion of the authority, any bonds may be issued under and secured by an indenture between the authority and a trustee. Said trustee may be a private person or corporation, including, but not limited to, any trust company or bank having trust powers, whether such bank or trust company is located within or without the state.
