Section 27-62-3 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words have the following meanings: (1) AUTHORIZED INDIVIDUAL. An individual known to and screened by the licensee and determined to be necessary and appropriate to have access to the nonpublic information held by the licensee and its information systems. (2) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Insurance. (3) CONSUMER. An individual, including, but not limited to, an applicant, policyholder, insured, beneficiary, claimant, or certificate holder, who is a resident of this state and whose nonpublic information is in the possession, custody, or control of a licensee. Section 40-2A-8 Procedures governing denial or revocation of licenses, permits, and certificates of title; procedures for contesting any other act or failure to act; appeals. (a) The department shall notify a taxpayer in writing of any act or proposed act or refusal to act concerning the denial or revocation of a license, permit, or certificate of title concerning which the taxpayer has any interest. Section 23-1-9 Elimination of railroad grade crossings. Whenever the funds of the state are being expended for the construction, maintenance, or repair of a public highway, the State Department of Transportation shall have the power and authority to compel all railways operating in this state to construct viaducts, tunnels, underpasses, or bridges to the full extent of the width of the right-of-way and over the tracks as owned or operated by any railway when, in the judgment of the State Department of Transportation, such viaducts, tunnels, underpasses, or bridges are necessary for the safety of the general public and whereby a dangerous grade crossing is eliminated. Section 22-27-3 Authority of local governing bodies as waste collections and disposal; household exemptions; state regulatory program. (a) Generally. Section 40-12-253 Ad valorem taxation of motor vehicles. (a) Effective January 1, 2000, ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles shall be assessed and the tax collected forward on a current basis to coincide with the collection of motor vehicle license taxes and registration fees. Section 22-35-5 Fee; withdrawals; disposition of funds; liability for clean-up costs; audit. (a) Every owner of an underground or aboveground storage tank as defined in this chapter shall pay an Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee as established by the provisions of this chapter to be paid to the department. During the first year next following October 1, 1988, the amount of the annual Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100). Thereafter, the commission, upon recommendation of the management board, shall set such an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per year per regulated tank.
