Section 20-2-212 Controlled substances prescription database program; powers and duties of department; trust fund; advisory committee; review committee. (a) The department may establish, create, and maintain a controlled substances prescription database program. In order to carry out its responsibilities under this article, the department is granted the following powers and authority: (1) To adopt regulations, in accordance with the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act, governing the establishment and operation of a controlled substances prescription database program. (2) To receive and to expend for the purposes stated in this article funds in the form of grants, donations, federal matching funds, interagency transfers, and appropriated funds designated for the development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the controlled substances prescription database. Section 27-31E-2 Strengthen Alabama Homes Program; grants, funding. (a) There is established within the Department of Insurance, the Strengthen Alabama Homes Program. (b) There is established the Strengthen Alabama Homes Fund within the State Treasury for the use of the department to administer the program. (c) This chapter does not create an entitlement for property owners or obligate the state in any way to fund the inspection or retrofitting of residential property in this state. Section 9-12-234 Marine Resources Restoration Fund. (a) There is created in the State Treasury the Marine Resources Restoration Fund which shall receive funds from the additional surcharge on resident and nonresident saltwater fishing licenses levied pursuant to Section 9-12-233. In addition, the fund shall receive any state, federal, local, or private funds that may be legally applied toward economic relief of saltwater commercial gill net fishermen.
