Section 33-18-1 Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact. The State of Alabama hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact: Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin Compact The States of Alabama and Georgia and the United States of America hereby agree to the following compact which shall become effective upon enactment of concurrent legislation by each respective state legislature and the Congress of the United States. Section 36-32-4 Meetings; seal; quorum. The commission shall meet in regular session quarterly at a time and place in the State of Alabama to be designated in its bylaws. Special meetings may be called by the chairman, the vice-chairman or any three members by giving notice of the time, place and purpose of such special meeting at least five days before it is to be held, to each member of the commission. Such notice may be waived by all members of the commission, either before or after a special meeting. Section 34-21A-4 Meetings, compensation, expenses of the board. (a) Within 30 days after annual appointment of new members, the board shall meet for the purpose of organizing, electing new officers, and transacting such business as deemed necessary. This organizational meeting shall not be considered a regular quarterly meeting of the board.
