Section 22-9A-26 Penalty for violation of chapter or rules of the State Board of Health. (a) Any person who does any of the following shall be guilty of a Class C felony: (1) Willfully and knowingly makes any false statement in a certificate, record, or report required by this chapter or rules of the board, or in an application for an amendment to a certificate, record, or report, or in an application for a certified copy of a vital record, or who willfully and knowingly supplies false information intending that the information be used in the preparation of any report, record, or certificate, or amendment of the report, record, or certificate. (a) By rule, the board shall make provisions to do all of the following: (1) Prepare or approve all examinations of applicants for licenses for electrical contractors and journeyman electricians. (a) A certificate registered under this chapter may be amended only in accordance with this chapter and rules adopted by the board to protect the integrity and accuracy of vital records. (b) A certificate that is amended under this section shall be marked "AMENDED" except as otherwise provided in this section. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH RESULTING IN STILLBIRTH. A certificate issued to record and memorialize the birth of a stillborn child. (2) STILLBIRTH or STILLBORN. An unintended, intrauterine fetal death after a gestational age of not less than 20 completed weeks.
