Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section,
public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons
through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof,
including any program administered by a public housing authority. (b) It shall be unlawful
for an individual or business entity to knowingly do any of the following: (1) Fail, by false
statement, misrepresentation, impersonation, or other fraudulent means, to disclose a material
fact used in making a determination as to the qualification of the person to receive public
assistance. (2) Fail to disclose a change in circumstances in order to obtain or continue
to receive any public assistance to which he or she is not entitled or in an amount larger
than that to which he or she is entitled. (3) Aid and abet another person in the commission

Section 34-21-93.1 Signature authority for health care forms, etc. (a) When any law
or rule requires a signature, certification, stamp, verification, affidavit, or endorsement
by a physician, the document shall be deemed to authorize a signature, certification, stamp,
verification, affidavit, or endorsement by a certified registered nurse practitioner or certified
nurse midwife for the items listed in this section. The authority in this section

Section 45-37A-53 Abatement of weeds. (a) All weeds growing upon private property within
municipalities of the state having a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according
to the last or any subsequent federal census, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature
or attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise
noxious or dangerous, may be declared to be a public nuisance by the governing body of any
such municipality, and thereafter abated as in this section provided. (b) Whenever
any such weeds are growing upon any private property, the governing body of any such municipality
may, by resolution, declare the same to be a public nuisance. The resolution shall refer to
