Section 25-11-3 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings: (1) CLAIM INFORMATION. Data related to whether an individual is receiving, has received, or has made application for unemployment compensation, the amount of such compensation being received or to be received by the individual, and the individual's current or most recent home address. (2) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of the State of Alabama, Department of Human Resources. (3) CUSTODIAN OF RECORDS. The person within the Department of Labor authorized to maintain the data collected under this chapter, including, but not limited to, all employment hiring data entered into the State Directory of New Hires, wage information, and unemployment claim and compensation information. Section 26-1-4 Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency to provide criminal conviction information on applicants for positions involving child care and treatment; such information to be confidential; applicant to be denied status if has felony conviction; children may be removed from home. Section 13A-12-3.1 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ALTERNATIVE NICOTINE PRODUCT. The same meaning as in Section 28-11-2. (a) The State Department of Education shall develop an anaphylaxis preparedness program to be adopted by each local board of education and implemented in each K-12 public school commencing with the 2015-2016 scholastic year. (a) A petition for adoption shall be filed with the clerk of the court within 30 days after the minor is placed with the prospective adoptive parent or parents for purposes of adoption unless the minor is in custody of the Department of Human Resources or a licensed child placing agency except that a petition for good cause shown may be filed beyond the 30-day period. Section 26-17-315 Hospital paternity acknowledgment program. (a) Hospitals that have a licensed obstetric care unit or are licensed to provide obstetric services or licensed birthing centers associated with a hospital shall provide to the mother and alleged father, if he is present in the hospital, during the period immediately preceding or following the birth of a child to an unmarried woman in the hospital, all of the following: (1) written materials about paternity establishment; (2) form affidavits of paternity; (3) a written description of the rights and responsibilities of acknowledging paternity; and (4) an opportunity, prior to discharge from the hospital, to speak with a trained person made available through the Department of Human Resources, either by telephone or in person, who can clarify information and answer questions about paternity establishment.
