Section 37-11-1 Execution and text of compact. The Governor, on behalf of this state,
is hereby authorized to execute a compact in substantially the following form with the states
of Louisiana and Mississippi, and the legislature hereby signifies in advance its approval
and ratification of such compact, which compact is as follows: Southern High-Speed Rail Commission.
Article I. The purpose of this compact is to study the feasibility of rapid rail transit service
between the states of Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama and to establish a joint interstate
commission to assist in this effort. Article II. This compact shall become effective immediately
as to the states ratifying it whenever the states of Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama have
ratified it and Congress has given consent thereto. Any state not mentioned in this article

Section 38-7-2 Definitions. Terms used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise
requires, have the meanings ascribed to them in this section. When not inconsistent

Section 40-18-140 Contribution designations. (a)(1) Each Alabama resident individual
income taxpayer desiring to contribute to any of the programs listed in subsection (b) may
designate an amount of his or her refund, rounded off in whole dollars, in an appropriate
box on the state income tax return form, to be credited to the program. (2) All future check-offs,
duly enacted by the Legislature subsequent to April 17, 2006, shall be accorded an appropriate

Section 45-13-245 Levy and collection of tax; disposition of funds. (a)(1) There is
imposed on every person, firm, or corporation that sells, stores, delivers, uses, or otherwise
consumes tobacco or tobacco products in Clarke County, a county privilege, license, or excise

Section 22-57-3 Definitions. For purposes of this article, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) AUTISM SERVICES. Any developmental services that include
all of the following: a. Are designed to meet developmental needs of an individual with ASD
across the lifespan, including transitions from early intervention to preschool, childhood
to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood. b. Are selected in collaboration with the parents

Section 33-2-8 General provisions relative to inland waterways improvement bonds and
temporary loans. In order to provide funds for the purposes herein authorized, the Governor
is hereby empowered to execute, with the concurrence of the director of state docks, and to
sell the state's bonds in such amounts, not exceeding in the aggregate the sum of $3,000,000.00

Section 40-18-156 Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation for the Spay-Neuter Program.
(a) Each Alabama state individual income tax return form for the 2012 tax year and each year
thereafter shall contain a designation which allows each individual taxpayer to designate
a contribution to the Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation for the Spay-Neuter Program. (b)
The Department of Revenue shall determine annually the total amount designated pursuant to
subsection (a) for the foundation and shall deposit such amount, less costs of administration
not to exceed five percent of revenue produced, to the Alabama Veterinary Medical Foundation.

Section 8-32-3 Requirements for selling or offering to sell service contracts. (a) Either
the provider or its designee shall: (1) Provide a receipt for, or other written evidence of,
the purchase of the service contract to the contract holder. (2) Provide a copy of the service
contract to the service contract holder within a reasonable period of time from the date of
purchase. (b) A provider may, but is not required to, appoint an administrator or other designee
to be responsible for any or all of the administration of service contracts and compliance
with this chapter. (c) Each provider of service contracts sold in this state shall file a
registration with the commissioner on a form prescribed by the commissioner. Each provider
shall pay to the commissioner a fee in the amount of two hundred dollars ($200) annually.
