Section 11-89C-8 Immunity of corporation, board members, and employees. (a) Any public corporation shall be immune from civil suit for damages to the same extent as a department of state government. (b) No board member, executive committee member, or individual employee, whether employed directly by a public corporation or on loan, detail, or other form of assignment to a public corporation, shall incur any personal, civil, or criminal liability for the performance of any official duty pursuant to this chapter, except for an act involving willful misconduct, illegal activity, gross or wanton negligence, or bad faith.
