Section 36-29-19.7 Retiree contribution based on years of service. (a) The board shall set
forth the employer contribution to the health insurance premium for each retiree class. (b)
For employees who retire other than for disability after September 30, 2005, but before January
1, 2012, the employer contribution to the health insurance premium set forth by the board
for each retiree class shall be reduced by two percent for each year of service less than
25 and increased by two percent for each year of service over 25, subject to adjustment by
the board for changes in Medicare premium costs required to be paid by a retiree. In no case
shall the employer contribution of the health insurance premium exceed 100 percent of the
total health insurance premium cost for the retiree. (c)(1) Except as provided in subdivision
(2), for employees who retire after December 31, 2011, the employer contribution to the health

Section 36-29-7 Payment of employer's contribution; coverage for dependents; changes to contributions;
withholding of employee's contribution; State Employees' Insurance Fund. (a) The board is
hereby authorized to provide under the provisions of this chapter that the employer's contribution
to the cost of such plan for coverage of the employee and retiree shall be paid by the employer.

Section 45-17A-50.10 Finality of disciplinary action; record of hearing and determination;
procedures of hearings; review. (a) No disciplinary action taken against a regular status
employee, except a head of a department, that involves suspension without pay, demotion, dismissal,
or any other action as defined by the implementing rules and regulations shall become final
until the board holds a hearing on the action, if the employee appeals the action in writing
to the board within 10 calendar days of receipt of written notification of the action to be

For purposes of this section, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) BOARD.

inmate, or any concerned person, including, but not limited to, the inmate's attorney, family,
