Section 22-11D-9 Statewide Trauma System Fund. (a) The Statewide Trauma System Fund is created. The department shall distribute funding allocated to the department for the purpose of creating, administering, maintaining, or enhancing the statewide trauma system. The department may apply for, receive, and accept gifts and other payments, including property and services, for the fund from any governmental or other public or private entity or person and may utilize the fund for activities related to the design, administration, operation, maintenance, or enhancement of the statewide trauma system. (b) The methodology of distribution of funds and allocation of funds shall be established by the council and subsequently adopted by the board, pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act. Guidelines and parameters for distribution and allocation of funds is the sole prerogative of the council. Section 22-24-8 Drilling requirements. It shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter to drill a water well within the State of Alabama unless the following provisions are complied with: (1) The driller of the water well shall be licensed as provided in Section 22-24-5. (2) The driller shall, at all times during the drilling of a water well, keep posted in a conspicuous location, at or near the well being drilled or on his person, the appropriate license certificate as furnished by the board. (3) Before the commencement of the drilling operation, the driller shall file an application of intent to drill a water well, as directed by the board. (4) The driller of the well, within 30 days after completion of the drilling of each water well, shall deliver to the board, upon forms to be supplied by the board, a "report of well drilled." Section 28-3-204 Additional three percent tax. (a) Repealed by Acts 1986, No. 86-212, p. 264, §3. (b) Levy and collection. In addition to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law and in addition to any marked-up price authorized or required by law, there is hereby levied and shall be collected a tax at the rate of three percent upon the selling price of all spirituous or vinous liquors sold by the board. The board shall have the authority to examine the books and records of any wine wholesaler to determine the accuracy of any return required to be filed with the board. Section 29-6-7 Powers and duties of Legislative Council. (a) In addition to the powers otherwise provided in this chapter, the Legislative Council shall: (1) Approve budget requests, provide accounting services, make purchases, and provide mail distribution, property inventory, telephone service, electronic media services, recycling services, and building maintenance services for the Legislative Department, and all agencies and entities, respectively, therein. Section 36-26-14 Deferred compensation plans for certain employees. (a) The personnel board may adopt, establish, and maintain a deferred compensation plan or plans, except under Internal Revenue Code Section 403 (b), for the employees of the State of Alabama or any city, town, county, or public entity or corporation organized pursuant to the laws of this state.
