Section 40-12-258 Reregistration of certain stored motor vehicles; placement of license tags. (a) Except for vehicles provided for in subsections (b) and (c), an individual reregistering a motor vehicle that has been stored in this state and not used or operated on the public highways of this state shall pay the annual license taxes and registration fees on the vehicle. The license taxes and registration fees associated with the reregistering of motor vehicles shall not be prorated. (b) The owners of motor vehicles commonly known as self-propelled campers or house cars, when stored in this state and not used or operated on the public highways of this state, upon reregistering, shall pay license taxes and registration fees on a monthly prorated basis. Section 40-18-73 Withholding certificates. (a) Every employee, on or before the date of commencement of employment, shall furnish his or her employer with a signed Alabama withholding exemption certificate relating to the number of withholding exemptions which he or she claims, which in no event shall exceed the number to which the employee is entitled. In the event the employee inflates the number of exemptions allowed by this Chapter on Form A-4, the employee shall pay a penalty of five hundred dollars ($500) for such action pursuant to Section 40-29-75. Section 22-35-9 Administration cost of chapter; annual budgets for administration. (a) Administration cost of all the provisions of this chapter shall be charged to the fund. Annual budgets for administration are to be included as part of the regular department budget, except that the annual budget of the management board shall not be a part of the department budget.
