Section 16-6F-9 Legal status and powers of public charter schools; employees. (a) Legal status
of a public charter school. (1) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, to the
extent that any provision of this chapter is inconsistent with any other state or local law,
rule, or regulation, the provisions of this chapter shall govern and be controlling. (2) A
public charter school shall be subject to all federal laws and authorities enumerated herein
or arranged by charter contract with the school's authorizer, where such contracting is consistent
with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. (3) Except as provided in this chapter, a public
charter school shall not be subject to the state's education statutes or any state or local
rule, regulation, policy, or procedure relating to non-charter public schools within an applicable

Section 34-21-25 Denial, suspension, or revocation of license; administrative fines; voluntary
disciplinary alternative program. (a) For disciplinary purposes, the board may adopt, levy,
and collect administrative fines not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per violation
and may institute any legal proceedings necessary to effect compliance with this chapter against

Section 45-5A-70 Election of board of education; referendum. (a)(1) Pursuant to Amendment 659
to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, and as soon as practicable after final approval of
this section by the United States Department of Justice, if necessary, the Oneonta City Council

Section 34-21-126 Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (a) The
party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission
of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (1) The commission is an instrumentality of the
party states. (2) Venue is proper, and judicial proceedings by or against the commission shall
be brought solely and exclusively, in a court of competent jurisdiction where the principal
