Section 11-43A-98 Effect of article on rights and privileges of officers, employees, departments,
boards, etc. Nothing in this article, except as may otherwise be specifically provided herein,
shall affect or impair the rights and privileges of the officers and employees of the municipality,
or any department, board or agency thereof, as those rights and privileges relate to, among
other things, matters of personnel, appointment, rank, grade, tenure of office, promotion,

Section 15-18-171 Definitions. As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
following meanings, respectively, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) APPLICATION PROCESS
AND PROCEDURES. The criteria and guidelines developed by the Department of Corrections for
the establishment of community punishment and corrections programs, the granting of funds
for programs authorized herein, and the monitoring, evaluation, and review of programs funded
herein. (2) BOARD. The board of directors of the authority or the board of directors of a

Section 32-6-5 Reports; disposition of funds. At the close of business on Monday of each week
when any application has been received or temporary instruction permit provided for in this
article has been issued, the judge of probate or Department of Public Safety receiving the

Section 22-27-3 Authority of local governing bodies as waste collections and disposal; household
exemptions; state regulatory program. (a) Generally. (1) The county commission or municipal
governing body may, and is hereby authorized to, make available to the general public collection
and disposal facilities for solid wastes in a manner acceptable to the department. The county
commission or municipal governing body may provide such collection or disposal services by
contract with private or other controlling agencies and may include house-to-house service
or the placement of regularly serviced and controlled bulk refuse receptacles within reasonable

Section 22-30-16 Responsibilities of hazardous waste storage and treatment facility and hazardous
waste disposal site operators. (a) The department, acting through the commission, is authorized
to promulgate rules and regulations establishing such standards, applicable to owners and
operators of hazardous waste treatment, storage or disposal facilities as may be necessary
to protect human health or the environment. In establishing such standards, the department
may, where appropriate, distinguish in such standards between requirements appropriate for
new facilities and for facilities in existence on the date of promulgation of such regulations.

Section 37-4-108 Powers and duties of commission generally. (a) The commission shall have the
power and jurisdiction to supervise and regulate every radio utility operating within this
state and its property, property rights, equipment, facilities, contracts, certificates and
