Section 22-29-7 Powers. The authority shall have the following powers, among others specified
in this chapter: (1) To have succession in its corporate name until the principal of and interest
on all bonds issued by it shall have been fully paid; (2) To maintain actions and have actions
maintained against it and to prosecute and defend in any court having jurisdiction of the
subject matter and of the parties; (3) To have and to use a corporate seal and to alter such
seal at pleasure; (4) To establish a fiscal year; (5) To acquire in any manner and to hold
title to or leasehold interests in real and personal property and to sell, convey or lease

Section 37-4-140 Purchase of electricity. (a) For purposes of this section only, the following
terms shall have the following meanings: (1) AVOIDED COSTS. Costs that a utility or a commission
non-jurisdictional electric supplier which purchases electrical energy from a distributed
generation facility would have been required to incur but for the distributed generation facility's
provision of electrical energy during the same period of time. To the extent such costs are

Section 45-29-71.10 County supervisor. (a) The county commission may, by designating one of
its employees or, in its discretion, employ as new personnel, a county supervisor. The county
supervisor shall serve at the pleasure of the county commission and his or her compensation

Section 11-50A-17 Contracts for use of projects; purchase of electric power; payment of charges;
indemnity; enforcement of performance. (a) Any municipality, if authorized by resolution or
ordinance of its governing body, may contract with the authority for the payment of any rates,

Section 11-52-31 Adoption, publication, and certification of subdivision regulations; contents
of regulations; bond. (a) Except where the county commission is responsible for the regulation
of subdivision regulations within the territorial jurisdiction of a municipal planning commission

Section 16-16-15 Incentive fund and council. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Public
School and College Education Incentive Fund (Incentive Fund). Fifty-five million dollars ($55,000,000)
from the first series of bonds issued pursuant to Act 2007-415 shall be deposited into the
Incentive Fund. (b) There is hereby created the Alabama Public School and College Education
