Section 22-30-9 General responsibilities of State Department. The responsibilities of the department include the following: (1) The department may adopt procedures for granting variances and is empowered to grant such variances. (2) The department, acting through the commission, may promulgate, and may revise when appropriate, rules and regulations and may enter into agreements to ensure that information obtained by the department regarding facilities and sites for the treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste is available to the public in substantially the same manner, and to the same degree, as would be the case under the Federal Hazardous Waste Management Program administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under authority of the RCRA and shall establish procedures to ensure that trade secrets used by any person regarding methods of hazardous wastes handling and disposal are utilized by the department, or any authorized representative of the department,...

Section 27-31E-2 Strengthen Alabama Homes Program; grants, funding. (a) There is established within the Department of Insurance, the Strengthen Alabama Homes Program. (b) There is established the Strengthen Alabama Homes Fund within the State Treasury for the use of the department to administer the program. (c) This chapter does not create an entitlement for property owners or obligate the state in any way to fund the inspection or retrofitting of residential property in this state. (a) The Alabama Public Transportation Trust Fund is created in the State Treasury for the distribution of designated funds appropriated by the Legislature or collected from grants or other sources for the purpose of increasing public transportation options across the State of Alabama. Section 45-21-171 Collection and disposition of fees; ability to pay. (a) In Crenshaw County, the county board of health shall designate the services rendered by the county health department for which fees may be charged and shall set the fee to be charged for each service. Any fees to be charged under the authority of this section by the county health department shall be subject to approval by the respective county commission prior to implementation.
