Section 45-9-243.40 Privilege or license tax. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) PERSON. Any natural person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, receiver, trust, estate, or other entity, or any other group or combination of any thereof acting as a unit. (2) COUNTY. Section 5-22-6 Criminal penalties. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a person who willfully violates any provision of Section 5-22-3 shall in addition to other penalties provided by law, be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment for not more than 12 months or both. Section 20-1-5 Penalty for violations of chapter or orders, rules, or regulations.
