Section 22-21-83 Division cumulative. This division shall not be construed as a restriction or limitation upon any power, right or remedy which any corporation, now in existence or hereafter formed, may have in the absence thereof and shall be construed as cumulative and independent of any statute authorizing the formation of corporations or conferring on any corporation any power, right or remedy. Neither the formation, organization or existence in any particular county of a hospital association under the provisions of Act No. 211 enacted at the 1945 Regular Session of the Legislature of Alabama or Article 3 of this chapter shall in any way prevent or preclude the organization in such county of a corporation under the provisions of this division if, at the time of the organization of such a corporation under this division, such hospital association is not the then designated agency of such county to acquire, construct, equip, operate and maintain public hospital facilities.
