Section 22-18-50 Enactment and text of Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure
Interstate Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact
is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein
in form substantially as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public
through verification of competency and ensure accountability for patient care related activities
all states license emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians
(EMTs), advanced EMTs and paramedics. This Compact is intended to facilitate the day to day
movement of EMS personnel across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as
assigned by an appropriate authority and authorize state EMS offices to afford immediate legal

Section 22-21-263 New institutional health services subject to review. (a) All new institutional
health services which are subject to this article and which are proposed to be offered or
developed within the state shall be subject to review under this article. No institutional
health services which are subject to this article shall be permitted which are inconsistent

Section 22-4-2 Definitions. When used in this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings, respectively, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the

Section 11-62-18 Exemptions of authority - Taxation. (a) Every authority shall exercise
its powers in all respects for the benefit of the people of the state, for their well-being
and for the improvement of their health and social condition, and the exemptions from taxation

Section 22-21-326 Securities issued under article as legal investments. Securities issued
under the provisions of this article are hereby made legal investments for savings banks and
insurance companies organized under the laws of the state. Unless otherwise directed by the
court having jurisdiction thereof or the document that is the source of authority, a trustee,
executor, administrator, guardian or one acting in any other fiduciary capacity may, in addition
to any other investment powers conferred by law and with the exercise of reasonable business
prudence, invest trust funds in securities of an authority. The governing body of any authorizing
