Section 34-25A-5 Application for licensure or registration. (a) Except as provided in
subsection (h) or (i), no person shall administer prosthetic, orthotic, or pedorthic care
in this state unless licensed or registered to do so in accordance with this chapter. The
board shall issue approved forms for application prior to January 1, 2003. (b) In order to
obtain a license as a prosthetist, orthotist, or prosthetist/orthotist in this state, an applicant
shall be a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person
who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal
government, and shall do the following: (1) File a written application on forms to be developed

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division
and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this
division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline
as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports
it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (2) The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales,
of fertilizer when used for agricultural purposes. The word "fertilizer" shall not
be construed to include cottonseed meal, when not in combination with other materials. (3)

Section 10A-1-1.03 Definitions. As used in this title, unless the context otherwise
requires, the following terms mean: (1) AFFILIATE. A person who controls, is controlled by,

Section 22-21-318 Powers of authority. (a) In addition to all other powers granted elsewhere
in this article, and subject to the express provisions of its certificate of incorporation,
an authority shall have the following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto

Section 22-21-3 Scholarships for professional and technical personnel at public hospitals.
(a) This section shall apply to any public hospital in this state, operated on a municipal-county
basis, on a county basis, on a municipal basis or on a regional or statewide basis operating
under the authority of any act or acts of the Legislature of Alabama, heretofore passed or
hereinafter enacted, either local or general. (b) The Board of Trustees or other like governing

the State of Alabama shall modify its policies relative to the certification of teachers to
permit an expanded alternative certification program for prospective teachers for grades six

from approved teacher education programs, the State Board of Education shall adopt policies,
