Section 45-13-244 Levy and collection of tax; use of funds for jail construction, operation, etc., and for school purposes. (a) This section shall only apply to Clarke County. (b) As used in this section, state sales and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62, and 40-23-63. (c)(1) The County Commission of Clarke County may levy, in addition to all other taxes, including, but not limited to, municipal gross receipts license taxes, a one cent ($.01) privilege license tax against gross sales or gross receipts. (a) The DeKalb County Commission shall employ a county engineer, who shall be a thoroughly qualified and competent, licensed professional civil engineer, possessing all of the qualifications as specified for county engineers under the general laws of the State of Alabama. (a) In Chambers County, in lieu of any and all other compensation, salary, and expense allowances provided for by law, there shall be paid to each member of the board of registrars an increase in salary in such amount as will together with any amount paid by the state, as salary, compensation, or expense allowance, make the total paid to such members equal fifty dollars ($50) per day. Section 22-35-5 Fee; withdrawals; disposition of funds; liability for clean-up costs; audit. (a) Every owner of an underground or aboveground storage tank as defined in this chapter shall pay an Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee as established by the provisions of this chapter to be paid to the department. (a) Effective October 1, 2013, the 911 Fund shall be created as an insured interest-bearing account into which the 911 Board shall deposit all revenues derived from the service charge levied on voice communications service providers under this chapter and all prepaid wireless 911 charges received from the department.
