Section 16-18A-4 Powers and duties. The purpose of the authority shall be to assist institutions for higher education in the construction, financing and refinancing of the projects. The exercise by the authority of the powers conferred by this chapter shall be deemed and held to be the performance of an essential public function. For the purpose of this chapter, the authority shall have the powers and duties set forth in this section. (1) To adopt an official seal and alter the same at its pleasure. (2) To sue and be sued in contract and in tort and to complain and defend in all courts of law and equity. (3) To maintain an office at such place or places as it may designate. Section 11-50A-6 Board of directors; election committee; meetings; officers; compensation; recordkeeping. (a) The board of directors of the authority shall be elected by the duly designated representatives of the municipalities which are authorized and directed to designate a member of the election committee as hereinafter provided in this section. Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability, the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68, but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average weekly earnings per week. (a) The party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators.
