Section 45-49A-10.04 Powers of corporation. A corporation organized and established under this article shall have the following powers: (1) To adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business. (2) To adopt an official seal and alter the same at pleasure. (3) To maintain a principal office at the City of Bayou La Batre, and suboffices at such place or places within Mobile County as it may designate. (4) To sue and be sued in its own name, excepting actions in tort against the corporation. (a) Until January 1, 2027: (1) Operators who have underground facilities within this state shall participate in and utilize the services of the One-Call Notification System. (2) Operators that are members of the One-Call Notification System on January 1, 2020, must remain members. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
