Section 22-2-5 State Committee of Public Health - Prerogatives, powers and duties. Whenever
the words "State Board of Health" are used in this title, or in any chapter or subsection
thereof, said words shall mean the "State Committee of Public Health," as created
in Section 22-2-4, except when the State Board of Health is in actual session assembled. The
State Committee of Public Health, as constituted by this chapter, shall have and possess all
the prerogatives and powers and duties heretofore prescribed by law for the State Board of
Health and shall act for said board. The State Board of Health may by a three-fifths vote
alter or amend any action of the State Committee of Public Health, but only when said board

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.
The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state and local
tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of tax bases

Section 22-2-4 State Committee of Public Health - How constituted. There is hereby created
a State Committee of Public Health which shall be composed of 12 members of the board of censors
of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the chairman of the four councils which
are created in Section 22-2-9. The medical doctor members of the committee shall be selected
by the State Board of Health, one from each of the United States congressional districts and
the remainder from the state at large. A majority of the State Committee of Public Health

Section 34-11-30 Creation and composition; nominating committee; terms of office. (a) A State
Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is created. It shall be the

Section 22-3-8 County quarantine officers. There shall be in each county having no health officer
a county quarantine officer, who shall be a licensed physician and who shall be appointed
by the State Committee of Public Health on the recommendation of the county board of health,
whose tenure of office shall expire on the election of a county health officer; provided,

Section 22-14-4 State Radiation Control Agency; director and powers and duties thereof. (a)

committee shall consider the merit of textbooks offered for use in the public elementary and
high schools of the state and make recommendations for approval or rejection, or both, to
