Section 22-19-41 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) BANK or STORAGE FACILITY. A facility licensed, accredited or approved under the laws of any state for the storage of human bodies, or parts thereof. (2) DECEDENT. A deceased individual and includes a stillborn infant or fetus. (3) DONOR. An individual who makes a gift of all, or part of, his body. (4) HOSPITAL. A hospital licensed under the laws of the State of Alabama, or any subdivision thereof, or under the laws and regulations of the United States government, or any agency thereof. (5) PART. Organs, tissues, eyes, bones, arteries, blood or other fluids and any other portions of a human body. (6) PERSON. An individual, corporation, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate trust, partnership or association or any other legal entity. (7) PHYSICIAN or SURGEON. Section 22-9A-14 Death registration. (a) A certificate of death for each death which occurs in this state shall be filed with the Office of Vital Statistics, or as otherwise directed by the State Registrar, within five days of the death and shall be registered if it has been completed and filed in accordance with this section. (1) If the place of death is not known, but the dead body is found in this state, the certificate of death shall be completed and filed in accordance with this section. Section 19-3B-604 Limitation on action contesting validity of revocable trust; distribution of trust property. (a) A person may commence a judicial proceeding to contest the validity of all or part of the terms of a trust that was revocable at the settlor's death within the earlier of: (1) two years after the settlor's death; or (2) six months after the trustee sent the person a copy of the trust instrument and a notice informing the person of the trust's existence, of the trustee's name and address, and of the time allowed for commencing a proceeding.
