Section 22-19-122 Promulgation of proficiency standards and quality assurance measures; certification to acquire and transport organs, etc.; updating of quality assurance standards. (a) The Chairman of the Department of Surgery of the School of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is authorized to establish and promulgate the standards of proficiency and fitness and measures and procedures for quality assurance in the acquiring and/or transporting of organs, bones, and tissues retrieved in Alabama.
