Section 45-37-121 Definitions. (a) In this part words used in the masculine gender include
the feminine and neuter genders and words used in the neuter gender include the masculine
and feminine genders. (b) The terms governing body, governing bodies, and government as used
in this part shall include the county board of health. (c) The following words, terms, and
phrases, wherever used in this part, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them

Section 40-3-2 Selection of members; terms of office. (a) This subsection shall apply
to every county in the state except a county subject to the provisions of subsection (b) of

Section 45-11-171 Board of Health fees. (a)(1) The Board of Health of Chilton County
may fix a schedule of fees which shall cover a portion of the cost involved in the performance
of services rendered pursuant to the duties, functions, and programs required by law or by
regulation or of the county or State Board of Health. Any fee schedule fixed pursuant to this
section shall be effective upon approval of the County Commission of Chilton County,
Alabama. (2) Such fee schedule shall be reviewed annually by the commission which shall make

Section 22-11A-3 Action of health officer upon being notified of diseases; quarantine.
Whenever the State Health Officer or his representative, or the county health officer or his
representative, is notified of any person or persons afflicted with any of the notifiable
diseases or health conditions designated by the State Board of Health, he shall, at his discretion,

Board of Health of Franklin County, which is a part of the Northwest Alabama Regional Health
