Section 34-39-3 Definitions. In this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective meanings provided in this section unless the context clearly requires a different meaning: (1) ASSOCIATION. The Alabama Occupational Therapy Association. (2) BOARD. The Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy. (3) LICENSE. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. (a) Except as provided in subsection (h) or (i), no person shall administer prosthetic, orthotic, or pedorthic care in this state unless licensed or registered to do so in accordance with this chapter. Section 22-32-4 Authorization to operate site; users' charges; lease or contract for operation and disposal of low-level radioactive wastes. (a) The Alabama Department of Energy is authorized to operate a treatment, storage or disposal site for low-level radioactive wastes pursuant to any license issued by the Radiation Control Agency.
