Section 22-14-4 State Radiation Control Agency; director and powers and duties thereof. (a) The State Board of Health is hereby designated as the State Radiation Control Agency, hereinafter referred to as the agency. (b) The State Health Officer shall be director of the agency, hereinafter referred to as the director, who shall perform the functions vested in the agency pursuant to the provisions of this article. (c) In accordance with the laws of the state, the agency may employ, compensate and prescribe the powers and duties of such personnel as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this article. Section 22-14-10 Cooperative agreements for inspections, etc.; training programs. (a) The agency is authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the federal government, other states or interstate agencies whereby this state will perform, on a cooperative basis with the federal government, other states or interstate agencies, inspections or other functions relating to control of sources of ionizing radiation.
