Section 44-1-10 Penalties; enforcement of chapter. (a) Violations of the provisions of this chapter shall be penalized or punished as follows: (1) Any person, partnership, corporation or association that violates the provisions of this chapter or any regulations promulgated under the authority delegated to the youth services board or to the state youth services director, after notice of such violation served upon such person, partnership, corporation or association by United States registered or certified mail to the last known address thereof, shall be liable to pay to the department of youth services a penalty of $50.00 per day for each day such violation continues after receipt of such notice. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. (a) In order to make a determination of insurance producer license eligibility, the commissioner is authorized to require fingerprints of initial resident applicants for an insurance producer license and to submit the fingerprints and the fee required to perform the criminal history record checks to the Alabama Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for state and national criminal history record checks.
