Section 34-2-36 Penalties; hearing; enforcement; appeal. (a) On or after April 28, 1999,
any person who knowingly, willfully, or intentionally violates any provision of this chapter
shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Each day of violation shall constitute a distinct
and separate offense. (b) When it appears to the board that any person is violating any of
the provisions of this chapter, the board may in its own name bring an action in the circuit
court for an injunction, and the court may enjoin any person from violating this chapter regardless
of whether the proceedings have been or may be instituted before the board or whether criminal
proceedings have been or may be instituted. (c) In addition to any other provisions of law,
the board may enter an order assessing a civil penalty against any nonregistered person, corporation,

Section 38-9-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) ABUSE. The infliction of physical pain, injury, or the willful

to carry out the purposes of this title, in addition to and cumulative with the authority

Section 9-11-31 Game breeder's license - Sales by licensee; nonindigenous game breeder
option. (a) Any person, firm, corporation, or association holding a game breeder's license
as provided in Section 9-11-30 may sell live protected game animals and game birds,
or the eggs, embryos, or semen of the birds and animals for propagating purposes to any person
within or without this state. The purchaser or purchasers of protected game animals or game
birds, or eggs, embryos, or semen of the birds or animals, shall be reported to the Commissioner
of Conservation and Natural Resources before the sale or shipment of same. The serial number
of the license of the game breeder making the sale or shipment shall appear or be attached

Section 30-3-170 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words shall have
the following meanings: (1) COURT. A court of competent jurisdiction or administrative agency

Section 5-13B-26 Examinations; periodic reports; cooperative agreements; assessment
of fees. (a) To the extent consistent with subsection (c), the superintendent may make such
examinations of any branch established and maintained in this state pursuant to this article
by an out-of-state state bank as the superintendent may deem necessary to determine whether
the branch is being operated in compliance with the laws of this state and in accordance with
safe and sound banking practices. The provisions of Chapter 3A, Title 5, shall apply to such

- Generally. (a) Whenever the commissioner has reason to believe that any person engaged in
the business of insurance is engaging in this state in any method of competition, or in any
act or practice in the conduct of such business which is not defined in this trade practices
law, that such method of competition is unfair or that such act or practice is unfair or deceptive
