Section 26-2B-105 Cooperation between courts. (a) In a guardianship or protective proceeding
in this state, a court of this state may request the appropriate court of another state to
do any of the following: (1) Hold an evidentiary hearing. (2) Order a person in that state
to produce evidence or give testimony pursuant to procedures of that state. (3) Order that
an evaluation or assessment be made of the respondent. (4) Order any appropriate investigation
of a person involved in a proceeding. (5) Forward to the court of this state a certified copy
of the transcript or other record of a hearing under paragraph (1) or any other proceeding,

Section 34-24-361 Investigations; reporting offenses; proceedings and actions; privileged information.
(a)(1) The State Board of Medical Examiners on its own motion may investigate any evidence
which appears to show that a physician or osteopath holding a certificate of qualification
to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama is or may be guilty of any of the
acts, offenses, or conditions set out in Section 34-24-360. As part of its investigation,
the board may require a criminal history background check of the physician or osteopath. In
such event, the physician or osteopath shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the
State Board of Medical Examiners. The board shall submit the fingerprints provided by the

a death under investigation is one described in Section 45-2-61.03, the coroner may, and upon

Section 2-26-5 Annual permit fees. (a) Every person who sells, offers for sale, exposes for
sale, distributes or solicits orders for the sale of any agricultural, vegetable, herb, tree,
