Section 22-12D-1 Office established; purposes. (a) The Office of Women's Health is established within the Alabama Department of Public Health for the following purposes: (1) To educate the public and be an advocate for women's health by requesting that the State Department of Public Health, either on its own or in partnership with other entities, establish appropriate forums, programs, or initiatives designed to educate the public regarding women's health, with an emphasis on preventive health and healthy lifestyles. (2) To assist the State Health Officer in identifying, coordinating, and establishing priorities for programs, services, and resources the state should provide for women's health issues and concerns relating to the reproductive, menopausal, and postmenopausal phases of a woman's life, with an emphasis on postmenopausal health. Section 20-2-190 Penalties; sale of ephedrine, etc.; Alabama Drug Abuse Task Force. (a) Any person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor chemical violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting requirements of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record required by this article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article to have a listed precursor chemical license or permit, and is a person as defined by this article, and knowingly or deliberately fails to obtain such a license or permit. Section 20-2-301 Medication assisted treatment. (a)(1) For all patients receiving medication assisted treatment, adequate billing records shall be maintained, in any format, for all patient visits. Billing records shall be maintained for a period of three years from the date of the patient's last treatment. Billing records shall be made for all methods of payment. (a) The commission shall study the conditions, needs, issues, and problems of the criminal justice system in Alabama as it affects girls and women by conducting walk through inspections of each of the women's correctional facilities and female youth facilities and shall have unimpeded access to all documents of public record produced, used, and maintained by entities of the criminal justice system to assess the needs of the beneficiary population and to assess the impact of the commission's recommendations. Section 32-5-222 Requirements for child passenger restraints. (a) Every person transporting a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall provide for the protection of the child by properly using an aftermarket or integrated child passenger restraint system meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards and the requirements of subsection (b). This section shall not be interpreted to release in part or in whole the responsibility of an automobile manufacturer to insure the safety of children to a level at least equivalent to existing federal safety standards for adults.
