REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE UPON ADOPTION OF RULES BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH. THIS
IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) Any youth athletics association that sponsors or
conducts sports training or high risk youth athletic activities for children age 14 years
and younger shall require all coaches and athletics personnel to complete an online or residence
course approved by the Department of Public Health, if available at no cost, which provides
information and awareness of actions and measures that may be used to decrease the likelihood
that a youth athlete will sustain a serious injury while engaged or participating in a high
risk youth athletic activity. (b) Any youth injury mitigation and information course required
to be taken by a coach or athletics personnel under this section, at a minimum, shall

Section 34-29-61 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms
shall have the following meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF
VETERINARY MEDICINE. Any veterinary college or division of a university or college that offers

Section 25-4-78 Disqualifications for benefits. An individual shall be disqualified
for total or partial unemployment for any of the following: (1) LABOR DISPUTE IN PLACE OF

Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement
and administration; penalties; exclusive nature of tax. (a) Levy. In addition to the excise
tax levied by Article 5A of Chapter 3 of this title and the licenses provided for by Chapter

Section 22-11E-2 Athletic head injury safety training. (a) Each local school system
and governing body of each sport or recreational organization shall develop guidelines and
other pertinent information and forms to inform and educate youth athletes and their parents
or guardians in their program of the nature and risk of concussion and brain injury, including
continuing to play after a suspected concussion or brain injury. On a yearly basis, a concussion
and head injury information sheet shall be signed and returned by the youth athlete and the
athlete's parent or guardian prior to the youth athlete's initiating practice or competition.
(b) Each local school system and sports or recreational organization governing body shall
ensure that coaches receive annual training to learn how to recognize the symptoms of a concussion
and how to seek proper medical treatment for a person suspected of having a concussion. (c)
