Section 27-54-4 Illnesses covered; requirements of benefit plans, etc. (a) All group health
benefit plans shall offer to provide, at a minimum, additional benefits according to this
chapter for a person receiving medical treatment for any of the following mental illnesses
diagnosed by an appropriately licensed provider. (1) Schizophrenia, schizophrenia form disorder,
schizo affective disorder. (2) Bipolar disorder. (3) Panic disorder. (4) Obsessive-compulsive
disorder. (5) Major depressive disorder. (6) Anxiety disorders. (7) Mood disorders. (8) Any
condition or disorder involving mental illness, excluding alcohol and substance abuse, that

is authorized to issue an official death certificate in any case within the county, except
where an autopsy is required. Data obtained from the attending physician or funeral director
shall be kept on file for one year following the death for the purpose of issuing such death
certificate. Such certificate shall be in all particulars the same as those issued by the
State Department of Public Health in any court or for insurance purposes. Nothing in this
section shall affect any existing duty of any person to gather and transmit data to the local

Section 22-21-278 Kidney disease treatment centers in certain municipalities exempted from
certificate of need requirement. (a) The Legislature hereby finds and declares that it is
in the best interest of the state and its residents for kidney disease treatment centers to
be established and operated throughout the state so that any patient needing such treatment
will be able to utilize a hemodialysis unit located within a reasonable distance from his

Section 13A-11-75 Permit to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Issuance; fee;
revocation; release of information. (a)(1)a. The sheriff of a county, upon the application
of any person residing in that county, within 30 days from receipt of a complete application
and accompanying fee, shall issue or renew a permit for such person to carry a pistol in a
vehicle or concealed on or about his or her person within this state for one- to five-year
increments, as requested by the person seeking the permit, from date of issue, unless the
sheriff determines that the person is prohibited from the possession of a pistol or firearm
pursuant to state or federal law, or has a reasonable suspicion that the person may use a

Section 22-11A-38 Notification of third parties of disease; rules; who may be notified; liability;
confidentiality; disclosure of information for certain criminal proceedings; penalty. (a)
The State Committee of Public Health is hereby authorized to establish the rules by which
exceptions may be made to the confidentiality provisions of this article and establish rules
for notification of third parties of such disease when exposure is indicated or a threat to
