Section 41-29-223 Duties and functions. The duties and functions of the office shall
include all of the following: (1) Serve as the principal advocate in the state on behalf of
small businesses, including, but not limited to, advisory participation in the consideration
of all legislation and administrative regulations which affect small businesses. (2) Establish
a central reference program and general counseling service to assist small businesses. (3)
Represent the views and interests of small businesses before other state agencies whose policies
and activities may affect small businesses. (4) Enlist the cooperation and assistance of public

Section 45-4-83.07 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant may be assessed a fee when the applicant
is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program
shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims or drug, alcohol, or anger
management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment,
and restitution for which the person may be responsible. Pretrial diversion program fees as
established by this part may be waived or reduced for just cause at the discretion of the

Section 5-26-3 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions
shall apply: (1) DEPOSITORY INSTITUTION. The term "depository institution" has the
