Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement and administration; penalties; exclusive nature of tax. (a) Levy. In addition to the excise tax levied by Article 5A of Chapter 3 of this title and the licenses provided for by Chapter 3A of this title and by Section 28-3-194, and any acts amendatory thereof, supplementary thereto or substituted therefor, and municipal and county licenses, there is hereby levied a privilege or excise tax on every person licensed under the provisions of Chapter 3A who sells, stores, or receives for the purpose of distribution, to any person, firm, corporation, club, or association within the State of Alabama any beer. Section 8-22-4 Definitions. The following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section unless otherwise stated and unless the context or subject matter clearly indicates otherwise: (1) PERSON. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the privilege license fee for operating a hunting preserve shall be twenty-five dollars ($25) per year for the first 100 acres of hunting preserve area plus five dollars ($5) per year for each additional 100 acres or part thereof. Notwithstanding Sections 10A-1-9.01 and 10A-1-9.22: (a) A dissolved series may publish notice of its dissolution and request that persons with claims against the dissolved series present them in accordance with the notice.
