Section 8-32-10 Enforcement provisions. (a) The commissioner may conduct investigations or examinations of providers, administrators, insurers, or other persons to enforce this chapter and protect service contract holders in this state. Upon request of the commissioner, the provider shall make all accounts, books, and records concerning service contracts sold in this state by the provider available to the commissioner which are necessary to enable the commissioner to reasonably determine compliance or noncompliance with this chapter. Section 27-21A-20 Administrative procedures. (a) When the commissioner has cause to believe that grounds for the denial of an application for a certificate of authority exist, or that grounds for the suspension or revocation of a certificate of authority exist, he shall notify the health maintenance organization and the State Health Officer in writing specifically stating the grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation.
