Section 2-15-211 Feeding of garbage to swine. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person,
municipality, county, political subdivision, governmental agency or department, institution,
individual, partnership, corporation, association, other entity or organization to feed garbage
to swine. (b) For the purposes of this section, "garbage" means putrescible
animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption
of foods including animal and fowl carcasses or parts thereof; provided, that citrus pulps,
pea vines, bakery waste, candy kitchen waste and dairy products waste from milk processing
plants shall not be included in this definition when such waste has not been mixed with or
in contact with other animal or vegetable waste. (c) This section shall not apply to
any person who feeds only his own household garbage to swine. (d) Whoever violates this section
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division
and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this
division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline
as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports
it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (2) The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales,

Section 22-27-2 Definitions. For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall
have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) AGENCY. Any controlling

Section 2-6B-3 Nuisance exception requirements; evidence of nuisance. (a) A farm or
farm operation shall not be deemed to be or become a public or private nuisance for purposes

Section 45-49-252.14 Certain acts and practices prohibited. (a) It shall be unlawful
to dispose of solid waste except by sanitary landfill, incineration, recycling process, or
other method approved by the director, consistent with applicable state law, operated by the
county or permitted and possessing certificates of need as required herein. (b) It shall be
unlawful to allow an unauthorized accumulation of rubbish, yard trash, garbage, and putrescible

Section 2-2-90 Legislative findings; Center for Alternative Fuels; definitions. (a)
The Legislature finds that the interests of the citizens, businesses, and political subdivisions
of this state are best served by promoting the development and encouraging the use of alternative
fuels as a clean, abundant, reliable, and affordable source of energy. (b)(1) There is established
within the Department of Agriculture and Industries, the Center for Alternative Fuels. The
commissioner of the department shall appoint a director of the center. The department may
employ staff necessary to carry out this division. To the extent possible, the staff shall

Section 45-49-252.06 Collection of solid waste. (a)(1) Only county franchised collectors
possessing valid permits shall engage in the business of providing solid waste management
services to residential property within the county. Fees for such service shall be established
by resolution or ordinance of the Mobile County Commission, consistent with the provisions
of franchise agreements. Upon May 3, 1988, any proposed increase in fees charged shall be
reviewed and approved in the following manner: a. A franchised residential collector shall
provide notice in a newspaper of general circulation in Mobile County that the collector will
apply in writing to the solid waste management advisory board for an increase in fees charged,
including the amount of the proposed fee increase, at least three weeks prior to the giving
