Section 11-43-50 Proceedings - Regular and special meetings; cancelling and rescheduling meetings. (a) There shall be at least two regular meetings of the council in each month, except that in towns, as defined in Section 11-40-6, there shall be at least one regular meeting of the council in each month; but provided, however, the council of any town may, by ordinance, mandate at least two regular meetings of the council in each month, and the presiding officer shall call special meetings whenever in his or her opinion the public interest may require it and whenever two council members or the mayor request the presiding officer in writing to call a meeting. Section 11-99A-8 Internal operations of a district. (a) Each board shall have a chair, a secretary, and a treasurer or a secretary-treasurer, and may have a vice-chair and other officers as the board may determine from time to time.
