Section 22-29-20 Grants to local public bodies - Plan or program. The plan or program for funding the grant by the authority to a local public body for a project may be any one or more of the following, as shall be approved by the authority: (1) An appropriation by the state. (2) A grant by a corporation, foundation, fund or agency, public or private, to the state for the purpose of abating water pollution or assisting local public bodies with their projects; provided, that the state shall not receive any grant from a local public body which has received or is to receive a grant for its project from the state. Section 34-14A-5 Licenses required; exceptions; fees. (a) (1) All residential home builders shall be required to be licensed by the Home Builders Licensure Board annually. The board may issue more than one type of license. (2) The board may issue licenses that vary in scope of work authorized, including, but not limited to, licenses without limitation and with limitation. Section 32-6-253.1 Removable windshield placard; unauthorized use of parking places. (a) Any person who submits to the Department of Veterans Affairs an application which includes satisfactory proof that he or she meets the military service and award requirements to be issued a license plate authorized by Section 32-6-250, shall be issued a removable windshield placard displaying the appropriate military honor or veteran status. The application shall be on a form approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs. There shall be no fee for the removable windshield placard. Section 40-29A-3 Tax amnesty program. (a) The department shall develop and implement a tax amnesty program in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The commissioner may provide by rule as necessary for the administration and implementation of the program. The commissioner shall publicize the program in order to maximize the public awareness of and participation in the program. The commissioner, for purpose of publicizing the program, may contract with any advertising agency within or outside this state and use public service announcements, pamphlets, mail notices, and print, television, and radio announcements. Section 45-10-201.06 Notice or application for renewal of licenses. The license commissioner may mail a notice or an application for renewal of licenses to the named licensee to which the motor vehicle has been previously issued. The notice or renewal forms may be in postcard form and shall contain sufficient information thereon to adequately identify and process the renewal. For mail order system renewals, the signature of the licensee thereon and proper remittance shall constitute sufficient authority for the issuance of the renewed license by mail. Section 45-31-241.01 Levy of tax for jail maintenance, road and bridge projects, and school resource officers. (a) This section shall only apply to Geneva County. (b) As used in this section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, and 40-23-4.
