Section 15-18-171 Definitions. As used in this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) APPLICATION PROCESS AND PROCEDURES. The criteria and guidelines developed by the Department of Corrections for the establishment of community punishment and corrections programs, the granting of funds for programs authorized herein, and the monitoring, evaluation, and review of programs funded herein. (2) BOARD. The board of directors of the authority or the board of directors of a nonprofit entity. (3) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of the Department of Corrections. (4) COMMUNITY. Section 27-21A-2 Establishment of health maintenance organizations. (a) Notwithstanding any law of this state to the contrary, any person may apply to the commissioner for and obtain a certificate of authority to establish and operate a health maintenance organization in compliance with this chapter. No person shall establish or operate a health maintenance organization in this state without obtaining a certificate of authority under this chapter. Section 41-10-626 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds in limited amounts and for the purpose of promoting economic development and industrial recruitment as specified by the Legislature from time to time by separate act, provided that refunding bonds may be issued by the authority pursuant to Section 41-10-627 without first obtaining separate authorization from the Legislature.
