Section 11-50-340 Definitions. As used in this article, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings unless the context shall indicate another meaning or intent: (1) CITY. Any incorporated city in the State of Alabama. (2) COUNCIL. The city council, city commission, or other board or body in which the general legislative powers of a city shall be vested. (3) BOARD. A board of water and sewer commissioners created under the provisions of Section 11-50-341 or, if any such board shall be abolished, the board, body, or commission succeeding to the principal functions thereof or to which the powers given by this article to such board shall be given by law. (4) WATER SYSTEM. Section 19-3B-505 Creditor's claim against settlor. (a) Whether or not the terms of a trust contain a spendthrift provision, the following rules apply: (1) During the lifetime of the settlor, the property of a revocable trust is subject to claims of the settlor's creditors. (2) With respect to an irrevocable trust, a creditor or assignee of the settlor may reach the maximum amount that can be distributed to or for the settlor's benefit. Section 4-3-54 Bonds - Security for payment of principal and interest. In the discretion of the authority, any bonds may be issued under and secured by an indenture between the authority and a trustee. In this chapter, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) BANK.
