Section 26-1A-301 Power of attorney form. A document substantially in the following form may be used to create a power of attorney that has the meaning and effect prescribed by this chapter. ALABAMA POWER OF ATTORNEY FORM IMPORTANT INFORMATION This power of attorney authorizes another person (your agent) to make decisions concerning your property for you (the principal). Your agent will be able to make decisions and act with respect to your property (including your money) whether or not you are able to act for yourself. Section 40-18-6 Gain or loss - Basis of property; adjusted basis. (a) Basis (unadjusted) of property. The basis of property shall be the cost of the property with the following exceptions: (1) INVENTORY VALUE. If the property should have been included in the last inventory, the basis shall be the last inventory value thereof. (2) GIFT or TRANSFER IN TRUST. If the property was acquired by gift or by a transfer in trust the basis shall be determined in accordance with 26 U.S.C. § 1015. Section 36-27-24 Funds for assets of retirement system - Creation; composition; disposition of funds; appropriations.
