Section 34-27-50 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms
shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) ACCOMMODATIONS.
Any hotel or motel room, condominium, or cooperative unit, cabin, lodge, apartment, or any
other private or commercial structure designed for occupancy by one or more individuals or
any recreational vehicle campsite or campground. (2) BUSINESS ENTITY. Any individual, corporation,
firm, association, joint venture, partnership, trust, estate, business trust, syndicate, fiduciary,
and any other group or combination which engages in acts or practices in any trade or commerce.
(3) CONTRACT. Any contract, promissory note, credit agreement, negotiable instrument, lease,
use agreement, license, security, or other muniment conferring on the purchaser the rights,

Section 11-32-7 Powers of authority. (a) The authority shall exercise powers and duties
necessary to the discharge of its powers and duties in corporate form as follows: (1) Have
succession by its corporate name in perpetuity subject to Section 11-32-20. (2) Sue

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby
approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article
I. Purposes. The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state
and local tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of
tax bases and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Promote uniformity or compatibility

(a) On or after July 30, 1979, no person to which this article applies shall acquire, construct,
or operate a new institutional health service, as defined in this article, or furnish or offer,
or purport to furnish a new institutional health service, as defined in this article, or make
an arrangement or commitment for financing the offering of a new institutional health service,
unless the person shall first obtain from the SHPDA a certificate of need therefor. Notwithstanding

Section 11-80-2 Relocation assistance for persons displaced by acquisition of real property
under local land acquisition programs. (a) The incorporated municipalities and counties of
this state are hereby empowered to provide relocation assistance to persons displaced by the
acquisition of real property by local land acquisition programs and to comply with the Uniform
Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Policies Act of 1970, Public Law 91-646,
Title 2, §§207 and 210, 84 Stat. 1898 and 1899, 42 USCA, §§4627 and 4630, and the requirements
