Section 5-24-1 Definitions. In this chapter: (1) ACCOUNT means a contract of deposit between a depositor and a financial institution, and includes a checking account, savings account, time deposit, certificate of deposit, and share account. (2) AGENT means a person authorized to make account transactions for a party. (3) BENEFICIARY means a person named as one to whom sums on deposit in an account are payable on request after death of all parties or for whom a party is named as trustee. (4) DEVISEE means any person designated in a will to receive a testamentary disposition of real or personal property. (5) FINANCIAL INSTITUTION means an organization authorized to do business under state or federal laws relating to financial institutions, and includes a bank, trust company, savings bank, building and loan association, savings and loan company or association, and credit union. Section 8-32-10 Enforcement provisions. (a) The commissioner may conduct investigations or examinations of providers, administrators, insurers, or other persons to enforce this chapter and protect service contract holders in this state. Section 19-3A-409 Deferred compensation, annuities, and similar payments. (a) In this section: (1) "Payment" means a payment that a fiduciary may receive over a fixed number of years or during the life of one or more individuals because of services rendered or property transferred to the payer in exchange for future payments. Section 36-28-8 Contribution Fund. (a) There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the Contribution Fund. Section 40-18-91 Wager proceeds; withholding of state income tax. (a) Each person making any payment of proceeds from a wager which constitutes "winnings subject to withholding" as defined by Section 40-18-90, shall deduct and withhold income tax in the amount of five percent of the payment. (b) Each person making withholding of state income taxes as required by this division shall remit the same to the state Revenue Department in the same manner and at the same time as that provided for payments of other withheld income taxes as set out in Article 2, Chapter 18, of this title, and shall be subject to the same penalties as provided therein. Section 40-29-23.1 Development and operation of financial institution data match program. (a) For purposes of this section the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACCOUNT.
