Section 26-2A-148 Conservators; title by appointment. (a) The appointment of a conservator vests in the conservator title as trustee to all property, or to the part thereof specified in the order, of the protected person, presently held or thereafter acquired, including title to any property theretofore held for the protected person. Appointment of a conservator does not terminate a custodianship created under a Uniform Gifts to Minors Act or a Uniform Transfers to Minors Act, or a valid durable power of attorney, except on order of the court. An order specifying that only a part of the property of the protected person vests in the conservator creates a limited conservatorship. After the death of a testator and on request of an interested person, any person having custody of a will of the testator shall deliver it with reasonable promptness to a person able to secure its probate and if none is known, to an appropriate court.
